I cordially greet all participants and guests of the Tatar national holiday of Sabantuy!
An ancient and eternally young holiday embodied the centuries-old way of life, the uniqueness and inexhaustible spirit of the Tatar people. It expresses a special respect for the work of farmers, love of the native land, reflects the best qualities of the Tatars – diligence, cheerful disposition, hospitality and sincerity.
In the rapidly changing rhythm of life and the system of views, Sabantuy promotes the spiritual continuity of generations.
The holiday marking the completion of spring field works is a vivid example of the preservation of national traditions and a unique symbol of the unity of Tatars throughout the world.
Thanks to the wide support of the authorities of the countries and regions of compact living of the Tatars, Sabantuy becomes more and more glorious every year, helping to strengthen the friendship of peoples, interethnic peace and harmony.
This time it will be held in 58 regions of Russia and in 28 countries of the near and far abroad.
This year – the year of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory – is special for all of us. Despite the hardships and deprivation, Sabantuy was held annually during the years when war was present, uniting around the public square of Sabantuy representatives of all nationalities and religions and inspiring to the cherished Victory expected by all.
