On 11th March “Nowruz” was celebrated in Cambridge which was organized by – Cambridge Central Asia Forum, Centre of Development Studies, Cambridge University Kazakh Society, Cambridge University Uzbek Society and Cambridge University Azerbaijan Society. For the celebration of Nowruz so were the Tatars whom were invited.
For the participants and guests it was interesting for them to see the rich culture and history of the Tatar people represented by the “UK Tatar Association”. Also the audience enjoyed the performance of the singer Izida Galimova, who performed; “Kyr kazlary ortynnan”, “Avylym tavyshlary”, “Tugan zhireme” and in English, the song “Memory”.
